Dirt Tastin'

I had to really zoom in on this picture so it's a bit "pixely", but can you see the red residue on his mouth from tasting the clay?

And then, of course, we had to try out the white sand and see if it was any better.

What have your kids been eatin' lately?

Climbin' Mountains

Success!!!

Then the truck had to make it up the mountain
Then we had to check out the tires
Then we wanted to go exploring over here,
but settled for a rest right here.

A New Doo

Not a big deal to many, but a big deal to us. You see what looks like a mullet to you, were precious curls to my momma....
and now they are gone....Daddy took care of them...
and we look too old and much to big for momma's liking!

More Construction Fun

Huntley is really enjoying our home being "under construction". I mean what boy wouldn't love all kinds of things like tractors, concrete trucks, concrete mixers, drills, saws, buckets, shovels, dump trucks, and our back yard covered in sand. You can't even imagine what happened when I had to make him go inside from this fun endeavor for dinner. My ears are still ringing! I hated to make him stop, but it was time. Even Bubba is loving all the action. He gets to be quite the guard dog and look after his favorite boy. BTW, Huntley's hat is his new favorite accessory. The "I want to be just like Daddy" syndrome has already began.

Our New Ride

Huntley's got a new ride. He thinks he is hot stuff in his new sports car. Just look at that face, it's as if I am already embarassing him by taking his picture while he is feeling so cool.

Under Construction

Prepare yourself for really sweet "cousinly love":
Greer spent a couple of nights with us last weekend and construction has just began on some changes we are making to the house. We were sitting at the table for breakfast before we took Greer to school and she said "Dee Dee, you gotta let Huntley watch this, He'll LOVE it!" Well boy was she right! We opened the shutters and he stood there in disbelief that there were actually tractors and machinery right in his back yard. And like any good cousin would do, she stood there with him and gave commentary to all that was going on. And I wonder why Greer is one of his favorite people????

In fact, he finished his breakfast right there in the window seal with the flies and all....Hmm...guess I need to do some spring cleaning!

Happy St. Patick's Day 2010

Our Good Luck Charmer
When did he ever get this old looking? I guess he has to start looking like a Big Brother!
Just a little bigger than last year...

Silly Day

A yummy snack with Papa! Huntley proceeded to eat the entire cupcake. I guess we can say it was for his 15 month birthday, why not?
And then, feeling a little silly after the sugar high....

Slackers

Huntley and I were slackers on Sunday. We sent Daddy to church and we stayed home. He was due for a nap and I couldn't quit coughing so we played hooky. After a good nap, we did a little exploring outside and waited for daddy to come get us for lunch.
Checking out the landscape

Chasing our shadows

What a beautiful day it was!

Rocking Chair

Huntley's latest obsession is getting into Bryan's recliner. He gets into it and props his arm up on the armrest and just thinks he is IT! He loves to rock and rock, and get in and out, in and out. It keeps him occupied for quite sometime. We thought he may enjoy Bryan's rocking chair from when he was a child so we got it out. Oh boy, did he think he was something. I think it will be his new seat of choice around here.
