We have had such a wonderful trip, even if it hasn't been under the best circumstances. The kids were such troopers and did so well and we were able to spend good time with NeNe and also some fun adventures. Before leaving, the kids had to go run on the Mintz's hills one more time and say bye to the goats. Toree took the kids to the playground for awhile so I could go spend some time with Mom before we left. We picked up some lunch and mom was able to come out to the gazebo in her wheelchair and enjoy the beautiful weather with us. Then we were off to the airport to fly home and see daddy. We were excited to see daddy and he treated us to Cody's and Twistee Treat before heading home. It's so nice to be home sweet home, but we look forward to when NeNe and Papa get to come back. We will keep praying everyday for strength, patience, and healing. You got this NeNe, I am so proud to call you mom. You are one strong, faithful, determined woman!

NC day 7
On Wednesday, we went to see NeNe and she had had her first shower!! Once again, it made her feel even better then the day before. I was able to see even more progress with her during the time we were there and it made us all feel so much better. She was able to get some lovins from Avery and my crew, which always seems to brighten her up. After visiting for awhile we had promised the kids a date at the pool. When we were leaving there was an ambulance out front and the paramedics were so kind and allowed my kids to get inside and showed them everything and turned on the lights for them. They loved it. Then we were off to Mrs. Georgia's house for pool time. They had a big time splashing and Huntley and Mrs. Shena wore each other out with different pool relays and challenges. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Bay Breeze that evening and went home to start gathering our things to leave tomorrow.

NC day 6
Tuesday when we got to HHR we knew it was going to be a better day for Nene. When we didn't find her in her room we found out she was down at the salon FINALLY getting her hair washed and done! It had been 11 days. We knew this was going to help her feel better and boy did it ever. She really started to show her strength and look and feel so much better. This was the day that she rounded the bend. From this day on things have been going very well and she has showed progress each day.
After having a great visit with Nene, we met Shena and Avery for lunch and a great time at a children's museum called "Hand's On". After we finished there, I took the kids to Sweet Frogs for a treat and then we headed to where I grew up going as a kid, Bonclarken. We walked around the entire lake and chased the geese. We headed home that evening and made dinner for the Mintz's and Papa. What a wonderfully fun day! God answered our prayers.

NC Day 5
Monday mom was still having a rough time but she had a busy day ahead of her. She had to get ready and go for her follow up at the doctors office. Toree came so that I was able to go with dad. It was a hard morning on mom for sure, but she got a good report that all was looking well. They informed us that she would need to be in rehab for approx. 2 months before coming home. She has a long road ahead but we know she is determined!
After getting home, the kids and I did some catching up on laundry and headed over to Don and Linda's for supper. The kids had a blast! They ran up and down and up and down and up and down the rolling hills in their yard again and again and again. They loved seeing the horses and goats, but I think their favorite was getting to ride and drive "race cars". They had a fun evening for sure! Later that night, Huntley helped his Papa organize and sort his medicine for the week. My boy who loves to organize sure loved that job!
