Farm Trip 2011

Last week, we made a little getaway to the farm in Tennessee. Bryan did lots of archery hunting and we did lots of exploring outside. The weather was perfect, not too cool and not too warm. Huntley absolutely enjoyed himself. Heagan tried her best to enjoy herself between getting the flu bug while we were there and just wanting to sleep in her own bed. But, all in all, we had a great trip.
Her first plane trip. She did well considering she was getting sick and we didn't know it. On the way home she slept almost the whole time. Huntley was so excited about the big, big plane and did great.
We stopped into Legends for some live music after eating at Jack's BBQ.
This is what the two of them did the majority of the time.
The first full day we were there it was raining of and on. We decided to go see the sights at Loretta Lynn's Plantation home instead of hunting.

Back to pushing the trucks around the yard.
He did a lot of pretend driving on this
Daddy and Huntley went fishing. Huntley was so excited. That was until he caught his first fish and for some reason became so petrified of it he wanted to go back up to the house.?!?!

Enjoying the beautiful weather

We roasted marshmellow's in the evenings. He found his stick the next morning and was ready to do it again.

This is how we loaded up for the four wheeler rides. Not sure where number 3 will go next year, but we will be sure to find a place for her:) Heagan fell asleep on it every time and Huntley would fight it until his little head would just be bobbin' around.
Such joy seeing them play together
Helping daddy find our bags and headed home
Such sweet memories and many more to come!

MGS Foundation Family Fun Day

Today was a special day, the Mason G. Smoak Foundation 5K and Family Fun Day. And what a fun day it was! We started off arriving as daddy was finishing the 5K. We nearly missed him coming in for the finish, because he did it in 24 MINUTES!! Yay! Go Daddy. It was the sweetest to hear Huntley cheering and shouting for his daddy as he came in. The 5K had over 250 runners, what a turn out! Bryan received 2nd in his age group. I hope to NOT be pregnant and able to participate in this event next year. Anyone want to volunteer to watch three kids?:) After the run, we prayed for the rain to old off and that is just what it did! We had a great time at each booth and visiting with everyone. What a great day to celebrate such a special person. Huntley kept referring to the day as Uncle Mason's Party in the Park. We miss you Uncle Mason, but can look forward to the day we see you again!
