Highlands Hammock

Emily and I decided to go out to Highlands Hammock with the kids. The weather was beautiful so we wanted to do something outside. It ended being the perfect idea. We packed a picnic, loaded up the kids, and were off for an adventure.
First stop, the playground.
Lucy was so attentive to Huntley, she is going to make a great big sister to her new baby brother.

Heagan enjoyed people watching just like her mama likes to do.
I wish I would have taken a picture of our picnic. The kids were adorable all sitting on the blanket with quite the array of foods to snack on.
Huntley climbed up the big rock wall and went down the spiral slide all by himself.
Cutie Pie Lucy!
Finally getting Edy to look at the camera, such a card she is

After our picnic and more playing on the playground, we took a walk on the cat walk.
The kids were so excited and curious about what may be lurking around, even though we didn't see anything but a squirrel they were quite pleased!
Take note of Lucy's big stick. She said she was our protector as she led the way down the path and assured us she would take care of anything that may get us. She also frequently did water checks to make sure nothing was hiding beneath the surface.
The kids did so well on the narrow part of the cat walk that only has railing on one side. Huntley held on to the side and was such a good explorer. Heagan, of course, loved watching everything from her bird's eye view in the back pack.

These falling trees were a highlight of the day. I think the kids would have stayed forever had we let them. Edy wanted to literally lay on it and take a nap.

What a wonderful day with the most precious kids. We can't wait to do it again!

Gloves

While swinging the other day, Huntley said his hands were cold so I went in and grabbed his gloves. He doesn't remember wearing them last year so he was quite intriqued by them. It was quite the task getting them on, but once he had them on he didn't mess with them, thank goodness. He thought he was big stuff, well I have to say I think he is:)

Camp 2010

After Christmas, we headed North to the hunting camp. I so look forward to all the family memories we will have together with all the other wonderful families that are part of our camp. We had such a wonderful time this trip. My parents actually followed Kim and I up and camped with us for a few days. While the men were hunting, we made a day trip to Appalachicola one day and to Tallahassee another day. Some days we just spent outside with the kids playing. I didn't capture any pictures from our day trip, but I did take a bunch of the kids playing. The men put down asphalt rock and brought old bikes and trikes for the kids to play on and it was great! The day we went to Tallahassee, Huntley went hunting with his daddy. I wish I could see some pictures from that special time. Warning: there are a ton of pictures.....my christmas gift was a new camera lens and I had fun playing....so here goes.
Heagan just loves watching all the commotion that seems to constantly take place around her!
This Hot Wheels was Huntley's favorite, oh and he loved pushing around the stroller

We always celebrate my birthday at camp. Mr. Gilley and I share a special day born just a few years apart:) We celebrated at the local seafood restuarant, which is yum scrum. Complete with each our own birthday cake.

Am I blessed or what?
Mason and his special cup:) He had gone in the camper to get a drink and came out with his water in this glass. Having no idea what it was truly for, he thought it was great and the other kids sure were envious of his nifty cup. Oh, the sweet innocence of children. Too funny!
Enjoying being serenaded by Gary and some of his original classics

Since we had a full load Heagan had to sleep in the closet, but hey it worked out pretty good!
One of my favorite pictures of Huntley is when we took him on his first RV trip in the tub. I took a picture of Heagan's first trip in the tub while we were on our trip and I think it's going to be one of my favorites too! How cute! Love her!!!!!

What a great time! Looking forward to going back soon.
